A while ago, I went to Barcelona with my school choir. It was an amazing trip and we did so much!

We had to spend a night on a bus while we drove the whole way. It was a long ways away but totally worth it. The only problem with the trip was the weather. But that's no surprise. I've been really unlucky with vacations and weather this year.
Anyway, when we finally got there, we had to wait a while before we were able to check into our hotel. We spent the first day just walking around the city, going to little shops and looking around. We weren't staying in Barcelona itself but in a city just outside.

Our second day, we went to a winery. It was actually really fun and more interesting than I thought it would be. We went all the way down into the cellars.. it was really deep into the ground.. and cold!
Next, we went to a monastery at the top of a mountain called Montserrat. It was the first public place where we stopped and sang. We had a small 'concert' in the church.

After, we had some free time so Christina and I went and took pictures on the edge of the mountain(:

On our third day, we went to a really beautiful beach and walked around on the pier. The weather was perfect. The first really nice day (and the only one) of the whole trip.
Later, we went and sang in a park. This was probably the best place to sing because of the really nice weather and atmosphere. The only bad part were all of the people walking behind us and looking like they were going to steal our stuff. That was a big problem in Barcelona and we were told numerous times to watch out for people if they got to close to us. Luckily, nothing got stolen.

After that, we had the night to ourselves. It was a really busy day and I was exhausted be the end of it.

On our fourth day, we went to the top of a mountain and had an AMAZING meal. It was the best food that we had in the whole trip. They had delicious wine, too. After that, we all went to a castle and walked around the streets. It was a beautiful place with really nice shops like Mexicali Blues kinds of things. Love it!!
It had taken like 2 hours to drive there and by the time we got back to the hotel and had choir practice, it was already super late. It was also a really great day.

The fifth day, Tuesday, was definitely the longest day of the trip. We went to the Sagrada Familia cathedral for a tour. We walked around the inside and had a tour of the front and back outside walls. Every bit of the church was special. I absolutely loved it. The only sad part is that it's not finished yet. Not a problem, I'll just have to come back in 2026 to see the final product! :p
We then had a few hours off and walked along the Ramblas and the boutiques along the side streets. After that, we made our way to Santa Eulalia, our last place to sing.

When we were finally done, we took the bus back to the hotel, got ready to go out with the whole group to a club. That was wicked fun and even though we didn't stay out soooo late, it was a blast to just go out with my class friends and hang out. We're not really given that opportunity very often.

On our last day, we got to sleep in a little bit and then have the day to ourselves. We decided to go to the beach because we hadn't been for the whole week. The problem was, it was extremely cold. We only ended up staying for a little bit before we were all just too cold. Eventually we all went back to the hotel. We hung out in the lobby and played pool and cards. We were kind of sick of the hotel food, so rather than getting lunch with everyone else, me and some of the Juniors decided to get pizza. It was a great decision and soooo delicious!

After that, it was time to pack the bus and go. We were on the road by 4 and drove for about 2 hours until we got to a Dali Museum where we stayed about 2 hours there just walking around. What a strange museum, and a strange man to create such strange things.. Soon, we were back on the road where we spent the whole night and a small part of the morning until we were finally at school. It was a long trip and everyone was exhausted. When we got back to the school, we sang a song for the parents and all went home. I slept for the rest of the day.
